The sea oil used at Thaermae del Forte was designed and patented for the Resort by Dr. Angelo Cerina's medical team. It is mixed with marine clay to boost its effects, then chilled to -20°C (the oil's high salt content prevents it from freezing). This process helps stimulate ionic exchanges with the body during treatments.

American dermatologist Dr Murad's range of cosmetics guarantees a medical and scientific approach. Its key active ingredients are chosen to help improve the health of the skin and produce long-lasting results. The range is used for facials and body treatments at Castel Monastero.

At Castel Monastero, By Natura Bissé combines technology with luxury beauty care, using over 40 active ingredients and marine DNA for facial and body treatments with stunning results. The spa at the Tuscan resort also uses a range of cosmetics based on natural active ingredients designed with emotional wellbeing in mind. It has been created by Urban Retreat, Europe’s biggest spa, which also has an outlet in Harrods.
